Help... I'm confused about my
Race...
I would like some help from the knowledgeable people on this site... This has
been confusing me for a long time...
Right, my Mum is of Irish ancestry, her parents both being born in Ireland, whilst
she was born in Islington, London. My Dad was Born in Glasgow, and he has Scottish
Parents who were also born in Glasgow.
My brother and I were born in London.
My Mother has Brown Eyes, Light Skin, and long straight brown hair, and my Father
has, blue eyes, light skin, and straight black hair. My Irish Grandparents, in
my Grandmothers case, Red hair, Brown Eyes, and light skin. My Irish Grandfather
has blue eyes, black hair, and light skin. My Scottish Grandparents, in my Scottish
Grandmothers case has curly brown hair, blue eyes, and light skin. My Scottish
Grandfather has blue eyes, straight black hair, and brown skin.
Now the confusing thing is, that I have brown eyes, light skin, BUT I have coarse, "afro" like
hair. Also I have big lips, and (without being racist) a "black" persons
nose. How would I have this with such "white" history? I'm not an albino
either. The only thing I can think of is my Grandfarher said that his mother
was dark skinned, so could that be what gives me the "non-white" features??
I would greatly appreiciate some help. Thank you for reading, and if you can
help,
please do...
James.

Why would saying a "black" person's nose be racist? Something wrong
with "black" people's noses? You don't like "black" people's
noses? Why can't it be racist to say a "white" person's nose? You're
English, right? Figures.

opposites, dude. I, for one, can't stand the bloody strine ocker wankers. Gimmee
a pommy poof anyday over a backwards ozzy wanker, that's for dams sure. Unlike
you Braz, I'm not enamoured with the uncultured, uncouth, wanna-be, try-hard
US Americans, filthy convict-descended scum that seem to roam this land. Believe
me I plan to leave this dump as soon as I possibly can.

Maybe it's atavism....I guess many many years ago there was a black ancestor
in your family. I GUESS....I have no idea.
There are black Africans with "white" features and ebony skin, and
how do you explain that?

James.I'd say that you might actually have some Negro mixture. The Romans had
brought hundreds of black solders to the area in which now sits Adrian’s
Wall, they were posted there as guards for years. Young black men will be young
black men, and young white ladies will be young white ladies; curiosity strikes...
and bam; mulattos are made, and the powerful black genes are passed on to pop
up strong in a far away generation, way down the family tree. Another undisclosed
exchange of black mixture could have arrived during WW2; solid records were
never really kept on this type of information... but I've come across reports
of that possibly as many as 350 Mulattos may have been born of the Tens of
thousands of AA solders posted in GB prior to the D-Day invasion of France,
and British mothers.
The vast majority of these children were born after the invasion and most of
the fathers had left off to the mainland... never to return by then. A lot
of the kids could possibly obviously pass for white, and ended up marrying
and having kids with some white person, and also many of the ones that couldn't
pass for white, still... do to Britain’s much more laxer racial mixing
boundaries, than that of the US... still married white and had kids. And there
you go; the black genes are past into the next generation, and then another,
and another.
And now you get the point. But these are only 2 possibilities. Tens of thousands
of slaves were taken to GB during the height of the Triangle Trade. Like in
here in the US, lots of miscegenation went on between the black and white populations,
with a majority of the offspring of such relationships… unlike her in
the US… getting mixed in, and away with the majority white population.
Did you know that Queen Charlotte was of strong African descent… via
her Portuguese family, in which was the Afro descendent branch of the Portuguese
Royal family?
